The City of Ottawa’s Public Art Program invites artists to submit proposals to develop, design, and implement a public art commission of an iconic new lighting installation to be located within the Winston Place Plaza Development on Richmond Road in Westboro. Artist teams may also apply.

The total budget for this commission is $55,000 plus HST. The commission budget must include all costs required to design, fabricate and oversee the installation of the project. Artwork fabrication will take place between May and October 2014, and must be installed on site by October 26, 2014.

The complete call to artists (including eligibility, design requirements, budgets, site locations, supporting documents, and selection criteria, etc.) is available on our website:

Proposals must be received by mail or by hand no later than Monday March 10, 2014 at 4.00 p.m.

An information meeting will be held at Churchill Seniors Centre, 345 Richmond Road, Ottawa on Tuesday February 11 from 7.00 – 8.00 p.m. to provide potential applicants with the particulars of the site and the project. If you cannot attend this meeting but would like to receive any new information available on this project, please contact Hannah Kingscote.
