Community meeting re: the former Westboro United Church (Ravenhill and Churchill Ave.).

Proposed development:

  • preservation and re-design of main church structure for use as music hall
  • small office component on  Churchill
  • 35-40 unit condominium on Edison

Churchill Resident

The “small” office component for Churchill Ave. according to the flyer we received in the mail is 10-12000 sq.ft. Rather large considering a typical downtown office floorplate is approximately the same sq.footage. 35 to 40 units along Edison….Yiks…how high do they plan to build…5 storeys (including-excluding the ground floor office space?)Underground parking for all of this!
I think it is in the best interest of all residents who live in a four block radius of this development to show up tomorrow night to see what’s proposed. Get informed!!

Concerned Resident

They are quietly holding another meeting about this development. I understand they will request zoning for a 5 story appartment block on Edison. Amazing nerve, since everything else on that block of Edison is zoned residential R3R. Here are the details on the meeting:
