There were 30 plus people at the meeting last night. Questions were asked and answered and if I understood the answers the reason they need an increase to 26M is that’s what makes this proposal work. The minor variance they are seeking for the Floor Space Index is an increase from 1 to 4.9. That’s 490%. They can currently build 2,814 sq m and they are asking for a minor variance to build a total of 13,815.6 sq m. At our AGM Ken Gray was our guest speaker and he talked about Richmond Road (and Wellington Street) looking like a canyon if greater heights are permitted. This pproposal suggests that 26M is ok on this site and any other corner. There is a small sign on the fence at 119 Richmond Road. THe CoA hearing is slated for Nov 5 at 1PM. We’ll be posting the notice. Get your comments in.
